Landscape Master Plan
The City of Poway, in collaboration with the LMD Advisory Group, has prepared a Landscape Master Plan (LMP) for LMD-83-1 (Twin Peaks Road) and LMD 86-1 (Espola Road) that includes landscape rehabilitation concepts along the roadways and at entrances to the neighborhoods within the LMDs. The conceptual LMP is scheduled for City Council consideration on May 16, 2023 and will be available for public review on the City of Poway website (https://poway.org/636/Council-Meetings) one week before the Council meeting.

Hazardous Tree Removal
The City of Poway received a $1.4 million hazardous mitigation grant from the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) to address the fire hazards created by the diseased and overgrown trees along Twin Peaks Road and Espola Road (as well as in the Green Valley area). The City will provide a $500,000 grant match, resulting in a total hazardous tree removal project budget of $1.9 million. More information on the City’s hazardous tree removal project can be found on the City of Poway website.
